Who hasn’t had one of those weeks where you just need to wash it off? Like literally, just get in the tub, and soak away the stress. Welp, I’ve got an infused bath salt recipe you should keep stored away for such a day as this! It also makes for a wonderful hostess gift, or you can even pair it with the Lavender Sugar Scrub recipe for a duo!
As I’ve said on here before, my personal favorite essential oil to use is lavender with just a touch of peppermint oil to really amplify that mind-clearing cooling effect it has, but you can definitely swap the lavender and peppermint out for lemon, eucalyptus, orange, or any other oil you prefer.*
This recipe will make 6 x 4oz jars of bath salts for you to enjoy at home or to give away as gifts!
Hope this scented salt makes the woes of the week melt away with your relaxing bath!
Lavender Bath Salts
2 1/2 cups unscented Epsom salts
10-15 drops of Lavender essential oil
3-5 drops of peppermint essential oil
Red food coloring
Blue food coloring
6 4 oz mason jars with lids
Option: Twine and Labels
Pour your salts into a large glass bowl. Mix in 10-15 drops of Lavender essential oil and 3-5 drops of peppermint essential oil. Add one drop of red food coloring and one drop of blue. Stir all of the ingredients into a homogeneous mixture. Waft the bowl towards your nose to check for the smell and add oils is desired.
Spoon the mixture into 6 jars and cover with a lid. Option to tie a bow around the neck of the jar and hang a label showing what kind of bath salts you’ve made.
