My personal favorite essential oil to use is lavender with just a touch of peppermint oil to really amplify that mind-clearing cooling effect it has, but you can definitely swap the lavender and peppermint out for lemon, eucalyptus, orange, or any other oil you prefer.*

Lavender Sugar Scrub

1 cup virgin coconut oil

2 1/2 cups granulated sugar

10-15 drops of Lavender essential oil

3-5 drops of Peppermint essential oil

Red food coloring

Blue food coloring

6  4 oz mason jars with lids

Option: Twine and Labels

In a microwave safe measuring cup, buzz the Coconut oil in the microwave for 20 seconds, stir, and repeat until the oil is just melted but not hot.

In a large glass bowl, add the sugar, coconut oil, 10-15 drops of lavender oil, 3-5 drops of peppermint oil, one drop of red food coloring, and one drop or blue food coloring.  Mix the ingredients into a homogeneous mixture. Waft the bowl towards your nose to check for the smell and add oils is desired.

Spoon the mixture into 6 jars and cover with a lid.  Option to tie a bow around the neck of the jar and hang a label showing what kind of scrub you’ve made.
